Our annual Christmas Family Day is one of our most popular events, welcoming families and children of all ages to enjoy creative activities, interactive workshops, and musical treats ahead of a film screening with live accompaniment. This year, we’re delighted to team up with WFEL Fairey Band and Aardman for an exclusive screening of Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas with a live score for brass band.

You can book tickets to either our morning session (10am – 1pm) or afternoon session (2.15pm – 5.15pm), and all ticket holders will be contacted nearer the event to sign-up for our interactive workshops. Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas

It’s Christmas Eve at Mossy Bottom Farm where Shaun’s seasonal excitement turns to dismay when a farmhouse raid to get bigger stockings inadvertently leads to Timmy getting lost in the local Christmas market.

Shaun’s rescue mission to town goes horribly wrong when a gift box containing Timmy disappears off in a 4×4 driven by Farmer Ben, a local celebrity and influencer. Can Shaun save the day and get Timmy home in time for Christmas?

WFEL Fairey Band

As one of the world’s finest brass bands, the WFEL Fairey Band is renowned for its high level of musicality and expertise. Founded in 1937 by a group of employees at the Fairey Aviation Works in Stockport, the band still rehearses at the factory in Heaton Chapel.

Playing an eclectic style of music ranging from the more traditional hymns and marches, to popular classics, jazz and film music and both original traditional and contemporary brass band repertoire, the band prides itself on delivering exciting and emotional performances to cater to a range of different audiences and events. The band has won every elite band event on the contest calendar, including the National Championships of Great Britain on 9 occasions and the British Open 16 times.
