RNCM Day of Percussion_1045

The RNCM Day of Percussion is back with a bang (!) and we’d love for you to join us. Our internationally renowned artists will present a day filled with exciting and informative sessions to inspire both new and experienced players alike. Learn about playing technique, gain industry insight, and hear some incredible performances from masters of their craft across a broad range of percussion styles.

This year’s outstanding line-up includes soloists and session players who’ve worked with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, AskoSchönberg Ensemble, Choeur de Radio France, BBC Symphony Orchestra, John Williams and Paul McCartney just to name a few.

We’re delighted Yamaha Marimba Artist Calum Huggan, contemporary percussionist and composer Emil Kuyumcuyan, timpanist John Chimes and percussionist Gary Kettel will all make their first visits to our event this year, and we also welcome back Dutch snare drum supremo Peter Vulperhorst to the RNCM.

Legends in the Manchester music scene, Latin Band Apitos (led by Dave Hassell) round off the festivities with a sensational performance of original arrangements and compositions to mark their 40th Anniversary.

In between sessions, visit our expansive trade exhibition throughout the day where you can try out instruments and pick up new accessories. The following exhibitors will be present on the concourses: Acoustic Percussion, Evans Drumheads and ProMark Drumsticks, (D’Addario UK), Flint Percussion, Matt Nolan Custom, SABIAN and Southern Percussion.

Celebrating all things percussion, we’re thrilled to host this popular day once again and can’t wait to see you there!
