Described as the Messiah of its day, Elijah was premiered in 1846 at the Birmingham Festival in front of a 2,000-strong audience. It has remained popular ever since, with performers and audiences alike enjoying its drama and beauty.
Salford Choral’s 100-strong chorus will be joined on stage by the National Festival Orchestra – combining players with an amazing breadth of professional experience across the UK’s major symphony, chamber and opera orchestras.
