There are a number of ways corporate supporters can engage with the RNCM and help nurture the next generation of world-class musicians.
As the UK’s 7th busiest live music venue, we can offer various performance sponsorship opportunities including executive hospitality for your guests and staff, themed packages such as A Night at the Opera (particularly suitable to those new to opera) or providing performers at your own events.
As a corporate supporter you may wish to benefit from and support the following elements of our core needs:
- Sponsorship of our Performance Programme
- Sponsorship of a Student Award
- Sponsorship of the RNCM Entrepreneurship Awards
- Sponsorship of RNCM Engage

Sponsorship of our Performance Programme
The RNCM’s performance programme provides a platform for our exceptional young musicians. It brings the most exciting professional performers to audiences across the North, provides opportunities for our students’ creativity and innovation to shine, and enables people of all ages to explore and enjoy the very best music-making. By sponsoring an element of our performance programme you enable the RNCM to continue to be one of the most dynamic live music centres, inspiring our audiences, your staff and guests, and our students for many years to come. You will benefit from a marketing campaign and support will be made visible to our audience members (around 100,000 annually) by including your logo in the programme, online and other promotional material.
Sponsorship of a Student Award
Transform the life of a young musician by sponsoring a Named Award. RNCM students are ambitious, passionate and determined but they are also challenged by the ever increasing cost of education. The RNCM is committed to welcoming the finest young musical talent in the world to Manchester and with your support we can continue to award bursaries and scholarships to those who would not otherwise be able to afford their studies. Together we can ensure that Manchester remains a powerhouse and world leader in musical talent. In return for helping transform the life of a student one of the benefits will be a performance by your supported musician at one of your corporate events.
Sponsorship of the RNCM Futures Entrepreneurship Awards
The rise in increased engagement with entrepreneurship from our students and the demand for portfolio careers means that continuing the Entrepreneurship Awards is a key priority for the RNCM. By supporting the Awards you will become Headline Sponsor of the Awards and will be offered a seat at the judging panel. You will hear first-hand about ground breaking and engaging projects and will have the chance to get involved with mentorship and networking. Further benefits include amongst others a press release announcing the sponsorship and promotion across our social media channels as well as corporate hospitality.
Sponsorship of RNCM Engage
From the conventional to the extraordinary, RNCM Engage, our programme of outreach and community projects, offers a range of exciting opportunities for people of all ages. This includes full-scale productions from RNCM Young Company (such as Westside Story or Singin’ in the Rain), educational initiatives via Young Projects, inspirational Children’s Operas, and fun-filled Family Days. As Simon Webb, General Manager, BBC Philharmonic says: ‘RNCM Engage not only provides that engagement with communities, it crucially trains RNCM students in the techniques and skills required to deliver this work effectively. This is exactly what a young professional musician needs.’ With your sponsorship you will not only give a young musician the chance to develop their training; you will also, crucially, support those who would not normally have the chance to access music provision such as by reaching out to deprived school children across Greater Manchester.
We would be delighted to talk to you about how we can work together and hear your thoughts on corporate partnership with the RNCM. For further details about sponsorship benefits and opportunities please contact Petra van den Houten at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0161 907 5338.
