Tuesday 18 May 2021, 5.00pm

Live from the RNCM - Insights

Alisa Weilerstein’s ‘cello is her id. She doesn’t give the impression that making music involves will at all. She and the cello seem simply to be one and the same’. In this Q&A, we discover how Alisa turned the pressure of a pandemic into fuel for creativity.

You can also join our livestream over on our Facebook page. We’d love to hear your questions for the Q&A – submit them live in the Facebook comments, join the conversation using the hashtag #livefromtherncm on social media or email us at live@rncm.ac.uk

These past few months have been some of the most challenging in the history of the RNCM.

Our income has been decimated by our closure; we have lost over £1m from ticket sales, catering and our operations as a public venue.

This comes at a time we have had to make huge investments to ensure our site is safe for our staff and students so that we can give our students the very best educational experience possible. Our priority is always that our students get the support they need, but this puts huge pressure on the College finances and we are inviting you, our wonderful community, to support us if you can.

Please consider donating what you might have spent on a ticket and our generous friends at the Oglesby Charitable Trust will double your gift.

Thank you for helping to keep our music playing.
