Mikhail Nemtsov

Hailing from St Petersburg, cellist Mikhail Nemtsov is currently Solo First Chair with the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg.

The 2015 alumnus, aged 27, is also an established soloist, performing with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide.

In 2011 he was the recipient of the Pierre Fournier Award and has received Silver Medals from the Rostropovich Memorial International Competition and The Worshipful Company of Musicians.

I’m very pleased and touched to be named an Associate Honorary Artists at the RNCM. It feels great after having studied at the College to be coming back in a different role and to contributing to its exceptional musical life.  – Mikhail Nemtsov
