Aged just 25, Scottish composer Tom Harrold has already seen many of his works performed by leading UK orchestras, including the BBC Scottish Symphony, Scottish Chamber, Aurora, Bournemouth Symphony and Manchester Camerata.
Graduating in 2015, he is a former BBC Proms/Guardian Young Composer Award-winner and has received commissions from the Royal Philharmonic Society and BBC Radios 3 and 4.
‘The RNCM has undoubtedly had the biggest impact on my career: its fantastic teaching, extraordinary sense of community, and fabulous opportunities on offer all came together to give me what I believe to be one of the best music college experiences. I am indebted to the institution, and being asked to be an Honorary Associate Artist feels like a fantastic way to give something meaningful back to the College.’ – Tom Harrold
Tom opened the 2016 Last Night of the Proms with the world premiere of Raze, a new BBC commission.
