RNCM Pathfinder Nominations: 2025/26
RNCM Pathfinder – schools, music hubs and other educational organisations are invited to nominate a young musician!
The RNCM Pathfinder programme is designed to increase opportunities for children and young people ages 8 – 18 who face barriers to their musical progression. We strongly believe in creating opportunities for all young people, but Pathfinder in particular benefits those who face financial hardship, through the provision of wide-ranging and open-access creative opportunities. Our work is centred on inclusive pedagogy, which meets young people at their starting points and promotes diverse opinions and voices. By doing so, we hope to inspire and empower Pathfinders to find their own voice, build their confidence and develop independence through ownership of learning.
RNCM Pathfinder is a programme for young people of all backgrounds and we are committed to reflecting the diverse communities of Manchester and the North.
There are no auditions or proof of grade requirements, but we are looking at nominations which highlight a barrier to progression and are underpinned by a statement as to why that young musician would make a perfect candidate for the programme.
We will take applications all year round and will operate with a waiting list should the group of participants exceed capacity.
Nominations will only be accepted from schools, music hubs and other educational organisations.
