Safeguarding
The RNCM is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of children and adults at risk studying in the College by raising awareness of safeguarding and promoting a safe environment in which to learn and explore music.

Staff Training
The RNCM provides appropriate training for staff and actively promotes a culture of safeguarding throughout the institution, to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities for safeguarding children and Adults at Risk.
Recruitment
The RNCM is committed to safeguarding and we prioritise creating a safe and secure environment for everyone. We seek individuals who share in our commitment to safeguarding and are willing to uphold these principles in all aspects of their work.
Staff applying for relevant positions will be checked through the Disclosure and Barring Scheme before appointment is confirmed (all teaching staff are required to be cleared through DBS before teaching commences). The College expects all staff to understand and adhere to the Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Procedure in accordance with the RNCM Recruitment and Selection Policy.
