Safeguarding (Child Protection)

The RNCM is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable adults studying in the College by raising awareness of safeguarding and promoting a safe environment in which to learn and explore music.

Staff Training

The RNCM provides appropriate training for staff and actively promotes a culture of safeguarding throughout the institution, to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Recruitment

Staff applying for relevant positions will be checked through the Disclosure and Barring Scheme before appointment is confirmed (all teaching staff are required to be cleared through DBS before teaching commences). The College expects all staff to understand and adhere to the Child Protection Policy.
