Summer success for RNCM conductors

RNCM conducting students have had unprecedented success in major festivals, concerts, masterclasses and competitions this summer.

Agata Zając (pictured below), our outgoing Mills Williams Junior Fellow in Conducting who conducts Manchester Camerata and the RNCM Chamber Orchestra on Saturday 23 September, spent two months as a Conducting Fellow at the world famous Tanglewood Music Festival, working with the TMC Festival Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and their Music Director, Andris Nelsons.

We also welcome Jakub Przybycień (pictured above) as the Mills Williams Junior Fellow in Conducting for 2023-24. Jakub was selected after 12 candidates were shortlisted from 120+ applications to undertake an intense five-round audition process at the RNCM. Originally a violinist, Jakub studied conducting in Wrocław and Zurich and will be an assistant conductor to Ludovic Morlot and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra next season. He reached the final three in the recent LSO Donatella Flick Conducting Competition and is a former winner of the Neeme Järvi Prize at the Gstaad Conducting Academy.
