Jonathan studied piano and organ at Chetham’s School of Music and the RNCM. He continued his studies in USA and Holland and became a member of the RNCM keyboard department in 2001. A prizewinner at many International competitions Jonathan also won the coveted Worshipful Company of Musicians WT Best Scholarship and gold medal and is a Freeman of The City of London.
Jonathan has appeared as soloist with orchestras including Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, RSNO, CBSO, RPO and Opera North. He recently completed a European tour as organist with trumpeter Hakan Hardenberger and his performances of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with ENB at the Royal Albert Hall, London were described as “scintillating” by the Sunday Times. He recorded the piano music for the soundtrack to the 2008 film of Brideshead Revisited and regularly performs as SCOTT BROTHERS DUO (with his brother Tom) and has recorded several CD’s on the duo’s own label to critical acclaim.
