GRNCM/MusB Auditions

Applications for the GRNCM/MusB are now open for 2026 entry, and will close on 2 October 2025.

Stage 1 (Audition Recording/Portfolio)

All GRNCM applicants must submit an audition recording or composition portfolio via Acceptd (Thursday 2 October). Audition/portfolio requirements should follow the undergraduate recorded audition requirements for your instrument.

Stage 2 (Live Audition and Interview)

Following the deadline, our panels will review all applications and shortlisted applicants will be invited to a live audition at the RNCM and an interview at the University of Manchester. Overseas applicants can opt to take their audition and interview online.

Stage 2 audition requirements follow the undergraduate in-person audition requirements for your instrument.

All GRNCM applicants will be automatically considered for entry to the RNCM BMus and it is not necessary to submit an application for both of these courses.
