Visit the RNCM

We welcome prospective applicants to visit us throughout the year. There are plenty of options, including attending an Open Day, a performance and applying for an Advice Audition.

Open Days

If you are a prospective student to the RNCM, we strongly recommend that you attend an Open Day where possible. This will give you the best possible opportunity to view the College facilities, receive the latest information, and to meet staff and students. We hold Open Days twice a year, usually in April and September.

Advice Auditions

If you want to get a better idea of whether the RNCM is right for you, you can apply for an Advice Audition. Advice Auditions are normally only available during January – June each year. Advice Auditions currently cost £75 (£35 of which will be refunded if you apply for an entry audition within 12 months). Please contact to request an application form.

The RNCM is one of the UK’s busiest performance venues, with a wide range of concerts and events throughout the year, including a number of free events such as our Spotlight Concerts or Lunchtime Concerts.

Check out the What’s On section for details.

There is an on-site café and Brodsky restaurant, where you can enjoy pre- or post-concert refreshments or meal. You can view opening hours and menus here.

Individual Visits

We strongly recommend prospective students attend an organised event where possible to allow you to get the most out of your visit. If you’re unable to make one of these events, and would like to visit the College on another day, we can usually arrange for you to tour the College with a Student Ambassador.

We can usually accommodate visits by pre-arrangement during term time, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm. Please allow 45 minutes for a tour. As a guide, these visits are suitable for prospective students from Years 10-13/aged 16+.
