RNCM Young Strings Summer School
Applications for RNCM Young Strings School 2026 are now open.
RNCM Young Strings Summer School gives string players between 6 and 13 years a fantastic opportunity to develop their musical, creative and performance skills in a fun and friendly environment.
Daily activities are led by a team of experienced RNCM tutors and include string orchestra, chamber music, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, choir and some creative activities.
How are the children taught?
All of the summer school staff are highly qualified and experienced specialists who are friendly, fun and approachable.
The children are grouped according to age and experience and take part in large ensembles, chamber groups, singing, movement and improvisation/ composition activities. There are plenty of different activities throughout the day, and ample opportunities to enjoy break times outside in the garden at this lovely quiet school. The week culminates in a concert performance.

Monday 27- Friday 31 July 2026, 9.30am – 3.30pm

Who can apply for the RNCM Young Strings Summer School?
All bowed string players between 6-13 years are welcome to apply. They need to have been learning for at least one term.
