Oliver Casanovas Nuevo is an accomplished orchestral clarinettist who has performed with leading ensembles across Europe and internationally. His guest appearances include the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Stockholm Orchestra, Swedish Philharmonia, Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan, Aalborg Symfoniorkester (Denmark), Madrid Symphony Orchestra (Teatro Real), Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
He has had the privilege of performing major symphonic repertoire under renowned conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Daniel Harding, Manfred Honeck, Krzysztof Urbanski, Michael Sanderling, Teodor Currentzis, and Christoph Eschenbach. Oliver has also shared the stage with distinguished soloists including Martin Fröst, Stefan Dohr, Lars Vogt, Jan Lisiecki, Víkingur Ólafsson, Martin Grubinger, Steven Isserlis, and Anne Sofie von Otter.
In addition to his orchestral work, Oliver is an active chamber musician, having performed at prestigious international festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival (Germany), International Chamber Music Festival Vinterfest (Sweden), Festival Bozen (Italy), Leeds Lieder Festival, and Ryedale Festival.
Since 2023, Oliver has held the position of Principal Clarinet with Opera North, continuing to balance his orchestral, solo, and chamber music engagements with distinction.
