A triumphant opening to this year’s festival has euphoniums and baritones taking centre stage, under the direction of renowned euphonium soloist and RNCM tutor Steven Mead. Audiences can expect an exhilarating programme ranging from Shostakovich’s Finale from The Gadfly to Jim Fieldhouse’s fiery composition for euphonium quartet.
