Students perform for HM King Charles III

Members of the RNCM Chamber Choir had the privilege of performing for HM King Charles III during his visit to Aviva Studios in Manchester on Monday 16 March.

Under the direction of Stuart Overington, the ensemble performed two pieces and enjoyed a warm, engaging conversation with His Majesty about music and their studies.

As our Patron, King Charles also spent time speaking with our Principal Professor Linda Merrick CBE, about the RNCM.

She said: ‘It was an honour to meet our Patron, King Charles III, during his visit to Manchester and to have the opportunity to chat briefly with him about our work here at the RNCM. A huge thank you to Stuart Overington for leading our chamber choir, and to all the students who performed so brilliantly.’
