Alumnus is Durham Cathedral’s Assistant Organist

Alumnus Jason Löwe has been appointed Assistant Organist at Durham Cathedral.

The 2009 graduate took up the position in January after four years as organist at North Yorkshire’s Giggleswick School, prior to which he spent two years as Manchester Cathedral’s Sydney Nicholson Organ Scholar.

Jason studied at the RNCM with Darius Battiwalla and Dr Simon Lindley. During his studies he won the 2008 Organ Prize and took part in masterclasses with Jeremy Filsell, Kevin Bowyer and Thomas Trotter.
