Students Raise funds for St Alkmund’s Church

RNCM students Helen Lacey (soprano), Lucy Vallis (mezzo-soprano), Ranald McCusker (tenor), Peter Edge (bass-baritone) and Tim Kennedy (piano) presented a Gala Concert in Whitchurch last month, raising over £1100 for St Alkmund’s Church.

Taking on the theme ‘opera through the ages’ the concert included music by Purcell, Britten and Gilbert and Sullivan.

Lucy said: ‘We had a great audience and are really grateful to everyone who came and supported us. The money raised will now go towards St Alkmund’s East Window Appeal to refurbish the windows in this stunning Grade 1 listed building.’
