Carlos Ágreda signed by Hazard Chase

Conducting alum Carlos Ágreda has been signed by Hazard Chase for general management.

Carlos, who graduated in 2016, was recently appointed Music Director and Conductor of the Empire State Youth Orchestra, following his two-year tenure as Conducting Fellow at the Curtis Institute of Music under the mentorship of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

An advocate of new music, he has conducted more than 30 world premieres. Recent performance highlights include the New Music North West and Cabrillo Contemporary Music festivals and in the coming months he collaborates with Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, Orquestra Sinfônica da Universidade de Paraíba in Brazil and Sinfónica de Antioquia Medellín. He has also previously worked with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic and Curtis Symphony orchestras, as well as Manchester Camerata and Opera Philadelphia.

Carlos studied at the RNCM with Clark Rundell and Mark Heron, kindly supported by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust.
