Iyad Sughayer joins YCAT roster

Congratulations to pianist Iyad Sughayer, one of seven musicians selected to join the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) sought-after roster of young artists.

Iyad, who graduated in 2019 with an RNCM International Artist Diploma, will now receive unparalleled support, including a dedicated artist management team, extensive national and international performance opportunities, and professional publicity materials.

Alasdair Tait (YCAT Chief Executive and Artistic Director) said: ‘The level of applicants applying for YCAT continues to be astoundingly high. However, I am delighted that the final jury was unanimous in identifying artists of exceptional talent with great potential and personality whom they believe would benefit greatly from YCAT’s support. With the catastrophic disappearance of live performance last year, the overwhelming sense of need for support and advice for these young musicians has never felt more urgent.’

YCAT has supported the early careers of the world’s most talented musicians for over 35 years. Numerous RNCM musicians have been selected for representation to date, including pianist Alexandra Dariescu, mezzo-sopranos Kathryn Rudge and Helen Sherman, and cellist Philip Higham.
