Music for the Senses guitar auction

Throughout July and August, the RNCM took part in the city-wide Music for the Senses art trail – a colourful display of hand painted guitars that filled our windows on Oxford Road.

On Friday 12 September, organiser Wild in Art is hosting its Grand Auction of all 48 decorated guitars plus instruments donated by Pixies, Oasis, New Order, Elbow, Doves, Peter Hook, Pins, and Busted.

Money from the sale of the guitars will leave a lasting legacy for the city through the Greater Manchester Grassroots Music Fund, set up by Forever Manchester. The online auction site features images and details of all the guitars, and tickets for the live event are available here.
