Professor Emily Howard joins Ivors Academy Board

Congratulations to Professor Emily Howard who has joined The Ivors Academy’s Board as a Director.

An RNCM Professor in Composition and Director of PRiSM, Emily is recognised as one of the UK’s leading contemporary composers, celebrated for her innovative fusion of music, mathematics, and multimedia.

On joining the Board, she said: ‘I’m really honoured to be joining the Board of The Ivors Academy, and I’m particularly passionate about strengthening music education, protecting creators’ rights in the age of AI, and ensuring we foster an environment where composers and songwriters feel supported to take artistic risks. Music is vital – not optional – and we must invest in its future.’
