Email: [email protected]
Amy joined the RNCM in 2015 and loves being part of the busy and dynamic Performance and Programming department. As Orchestra Manager she is part of the team which coordinates all of the college’s large-scale ensemble projects, as well as smaller ensembles set up to serve the requirements of the different schools. She has particular responsibility for School of Strings students’ involvement in Orchestras.
Before starting at RNCM, Amy was Ensembles Manager at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, running the Youth Choir and Youth Orchestra as well as their feeder ensembles. She has worked for the BBC in various roles, including as a Researcher in the BBC’s Sheet Music Library, Concert Manager, Runner and Score-reader for the BBC Proms, and as a Researcher for BBC Learning where she toured CBeebies events across the UK.
As a cellist Amy trained at Trinity College of Music, where she was president of the Students’ Union in her final year. She plays with Lancashire Chamber Orchestra and her string quartet, the Quays Quartet.
