Kim is one of the UK’s top vocal coaches. She runs a busy private vocal studio where she teaches an elite team of professional singers, artists and other vocal coaches. Kim is a regular presenter at national & international voice conferences and is a past President of the prestigious British Voice Association. She has coached (and still coaches) a wide range of high profile clients, such as the following: Beverley Knight (for BBC’s “Just The Two Of Us”), Birdy, Courtney LaPlante – “Spiritbox”, Courtney Love – “Hole”, Crissie Rhodes – “The Shires”, Danny McNamara – “Embrace”, Dave McCabe – “The Zutons”, Hannah Reid – “London Grammar”, Jess Glynne, Josh Franceschi – “You Me At Six”, Kevin Rowland – “Dexys”, Laura Mvula, Matt Tuck – “Bullet For My Valentine”, Oli Sykes – “Bring Me The Horizon”, Paloma Faith, Paul Young, Rob Swire – “Pendulum”, Sam Carter – “Architects”, Sam Fender, Sarah Brightman (for BBC’s “Just The Two Of Us”).
Kim has been a highly successful session singer since 1990. Aside from singing on thousands of jingles, hundreds of songs and on many films, her recording and/or live performance credits also include: Barry Manilow, The Bee Gees, Björk, Brian May, Cerys Matthews, Gareth Gates, Jocelyn Brown, Kevin Rowland (‘Dexys Midnight Runners’), Leo Sayer, Michael Bolton, Michael McDonald (including Lulu and Hamish Stuart), Natalie Cole, Neil Diamond, P Diddy, Randy Brecker, Rick Astley, Susan Boyle, Thelma Houston, Uriah Heep.
Equally at home as a musical director & vocal arranger, Kim worked regularly at London’s legendary ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS leading their corporate group recording events (up to 200 people) and has directed choirs for: Westlife (no.1 single “Queen of my Heart“), Michael Bolton (Brisbane Entertainment Centre), Rick Astley (Shepherds Bush Empire), Barry Manilow (Brisbane Entertainment Centre), The “Six Nations” rugby tournament (Twickenham stadium), The “Worthington Cup” final (Wembley stadium), “The Sun” newspaper TV adverts.
