- Provides strategic leadership of the RNCM’s Development & Alumni Relations teams, developing the annual and long-term fundraising strategies to drive philanthropic and sponsorship income for the college
- Member of the Executive Committee responsible for generating 10% of the RNCM’s income (c£3m a year) for the RNCM through the activities of the Development Team
- Advises the Directorate on funding opportunities and works to develop projects and initiatives with colleagues to get them ‘fundable’ before taking out to the market
- Strategic responsibility for Alumni Relations for RNCM
- Chair of the Student Awards Committee
- Chair of the Development Committee (Fundraising Board)
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with funders and advocates of the RNCM
Rhiannon has over 23 years’ experience in building funding partnerships, advocacy and raising multi-million-pound sums for nationally significant arts and cultural organisations. Before the RNCM she was co-Director of Development at The Lowry in Salford after a career in London working as Head of Development at the Young Vic theatre. She started her fundraising career at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew building its corporate sponsorship schemes having worked in PR prior to that. Rhiannon is passionate about the role that arts and culture can play in society, specifically building partnerships that enable organisations to turn bold ambitions into reality.
