- Manages the RNCM’s team of full-time and freelance Sound and Video staff
- Responsible for the provision of audio and video across the RNCM’s performance and teaching spaces
- Provides recording, mixing and editing facilities for the benefit of students, staff and external clients
- Assists in driving future developments of the College’s Sound and Video production facilities
After studying Electronic Engineering in South Glamorgan, Steve went on to work at Nottingham Trent University where alongside his role as a technician he taught Electronic Engineering for just slightly over a decade.
His desire to work in music triggered a move to the RNCM where he has recorded all manner of student ensembles. He has also worked commercially, but not exclusively, on recordings for BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and Channel 4 television as well as for a couple of award nominated (BFI and BAFTA) films.
Outside of life at the RNCM he enjoys the mountains, jazz, and an occasional sauna.
