About
RNCM Chamber Choir joins forces with the Edvard Greig Vokalensemble in a side-by-side performance that embraces the rich musical traditions of Britain and Norway.
Telling stories of both individuals and cultures, the programme features arrangements of Norwegian folk tunes with music that evokes the sweeping landscapes of Scandinavia, before travelling across to Britain for music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Gustav Holst.
The Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble is an eight-part a cappella choir and one of Norway’s leading vocal ensembles. It is part of the Edvard Grieg Korine (EGK), a long-time partner of the RNCM. Each year, members of EKG work with our Chamber Choir and select RNCM vocalists in concerts, recordings, and opera productions.
