‘Victor Lim has been a much-loved figure at the RNCM since he first arrived as an undergraduate in 2011. He has organised the greatly anticipated SKS staff and student dinner annually; raised thousands in aid of the victims of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake through a live-streamed concert with RNCM students; and even organised an international piano competition with RNCM alumni-led charity, Fingertips ASBL, to raise money to plant trees in Costa Rica.

During the pandemic, Victor also volunteered as an accompanist for the Olympia Music Foundation’s Children’s Voices Choir and continues to support the charity. His relentless positivity, creativity and discipline is not only limited to his musicianship, but touches everything that he sets his mind to, including a self-published cookbook!’ Dr Jo Yee Cheung
