Application and Audition
All applications must be submitted via UCAS Conservatoires and Acceptd, but audition requirements vary between international and home applicants.
Applications open via UCAS Conservatoires in mid-July each year and close on 2 October. After this, you’ll be asked to undertake an audition, which for 2026 entry follows a two-stage process. Please visit our Make an Application pages for full details and requirements. Audition requirements for overseas applicants are clearly indicated on the relevant Auditions page.
Please note that applications for the following courses follow different processes and timelines, and more information can be found on individual course pages:
- Bachelor of Arts in Music Education
- Master of Music in Conducting
- Master of Education
- International Artist Diploma
- Research Degree Programmes
- Associate Student Scheme and Continued Professional Development Courses
- Hallé/RNCM Advanced Orchestral Strings Programme
If you require further information or would like to chat through anything relating to the application and audition process, our Admissions Team will be happy to help.
