RNCM Opera

The RNCM is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading training centres for opera.

Providing our most advanced singers with a concentrated period of study, RNCM Opera offers the same opportunities as those enrolled on specific opera school courses. Students receive the highest level of tuition from our distinguished vocal tutors and coaches throughout the year and benefit from exceptional performance opportunities within our purpose-built theatre. Music staff and conductors from the UK’s major opera companies and prestigious visiting artists also coach and guide singers in operatic repertoire, enabling them to develop the necessary skills to sing principal roles in opera houses worldwide.

RNCM Opera Productions

Twice a year RNCM Opera presents two fully-staged productions within the RNCM Theatre. All vocal students are given the chance to audition and as most are double cast, both undergraduate and postgraduate singers receive an unrivalled opportunity to experience life on stage, working with a professional creative team and technical crew.
