Edvard Grieg Korene

Our Professional Experience Scheme with Edvard Grieg Korene gives students and alumni from our School of Vocal Studies and Opera first-hand experience performing with a professional chamber choir.

Since 2013, RNCM vocalists have been invited to work with the ensemble, based in Bergen, on several projects, including concerts, recordings and opera productions.

Notable engagements include the Bergen Philharmonic’s 2019 tour of Peter Grimes (rated No 2 in the Guardian’s Top 10 classical music events of the year), which saw students join the Edvard Grieg Kor, Colligeûm Mûsicûm and conductor Edward Gardner for performances in Bergan, Stockholm and London. The project was also recorded for Chandos.
