In 2020, Yuxuan was awarded a full scholarship and Living Grant by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to pursue his Bachelor’s degree at the RNCM with Professor Graham Scott, and share some lessons with Bingbing Li. During his studies, Yuxuan won First Prize in the UK Appelbe Piano Prize and the Mark Ray Recital Prize 2022 and Third Prize at the Birmingham International Piano Competition. In 2023, he won Second Prize in the Sheepdrove Trust Piano Competition and competed in the preliminary round of the 2025 Chopin International competition in Warsaw. In 2024, Yuxuan was awarded the Yamaha Music Foundation Europe Scholarship.  

Yuxuan has played various concerts, including Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 3 with the Stockport Symphony Orchestra, Rachmaninov’s Concerto No 2 and Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No 1 with Burnley Orchestra and Shrewsbury Orchestra, and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 9 in North Ireland. He has been invited to perform across Europe, including Stockport Town Hall, Nottingham Royal Theatre, Hjorring Hall in Denmark, St Columb’s Hall in North Ireland, and in several touring concerts in the UK.
