Abel Selaocoe is Southbank Centre Artist in Residence
Congratulations to Abel Selaocoe, one of Southbank Centre’s 2022/23 Artists in Residence.
The RNCM alumnus and Honorary Associate Artist is recognised for exploring the capacity of the cello across a range of genres, from collaborations with world musicians and beatboxers, to concerto performances and solo classical recitals.
This new residency will see Abel present music from his debut album, Where is Home (Hae Ke Kae), as well as join Alan Keary and Sidiki Dembélé for Chesaba, an electrifying trio of African celebration, blending of cello, kora, n’goni, African percussion, double bass and voice.
