Beaverbrooks sponsors RNCM Engage

We are delighted that Beaverbrooks has become a key sponsor of RNCM Engage.

RNCM Engage is our learning and participation programme and the training ground for students in creative and professional practice. Through a variety of professional partnerships with health, education and music organisations, students have opportunities to develop their skills away from the stage, gaining specialist experience in hospitals, care homes and, among others, schools.

It is also the home of RNCM Young Company, our open-access theatre group for 13-18-year-olds (pictured above during West Side Story, February 2018), and RNCM Young Projects, an initiative that provides players of school age the opportunity to explore different instruments and develop creativity, musical and technical skills. Adding to this are the annual Family Days and Children’s Opera, as well as a Young Explorers concert series, all of which ensure that music is accessible to people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

Suzie Thompson, Director of Development, said: ‘RNCM Engage forms an essential part of our students’ professional development, providing them with opportunities to gain valuable experience in specialist settings. It also enables us to reach out to local communities, bringing people of all ages and abilities into the College to enjoy music and music-making with us. We are absolutely thrilled that Beaverbrooks is sponsoring RNCM Engage and look forward to working with them in the future.’

Beaverbrooks Chairman, Mark Adlestone, said: ‘Beaverbrooks is proud to offer its support to RNCM Engage, an initiative that offers so much to both students at the College as they look to develop their careers, and those in the wider community.’
