Competition success for RNCM singers and pianists

Congratulations to RNCM singers Samuel Horton and Sarah Thomas on their recent success at the Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary for Young Singers competition.

Held on Sunday 13 November, the prestigious initiative is open to all singers starting their second year at one of the UK’s conservatoires.

Accompanied by Roderick Barrand, Samuel was awarded the Collingwood Prize while Sarah received the Norma Proctor Song Prize.

We also want to wish keyboard alumni Tyler Hay, Luke Jones and Maxim Kinasov the best of luck in the final of next week’s Dudley International Piano Competition. They will each perform a concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra on Thursday 24 November.
