COVID-19: Important notice for our community

As the situation around COVID-19 evolves, we have made the decision to move all teaching and learning activity for the remainder of this academic year online.

With the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community remaining a priority, systems are now in place to ensure that our students can continue to receive a world-class education remotely.

This decision means that our Summer Season of events will not take place as planned and the RNCM will remain closed to the public until Tuesday 1 September.

All events promoted by the RNCM until this date are cancelled and our Box Office team will be in touch via phone and email to provide refunds where necessary. We are working to reschedule as many other performances as possible; please check individual event listings for cancellations or postponements.

Everyone at the RNCM shares your passion for music and we are fully aware of the impact that this closure will have on you over the coming months, especially those being asked to self-isolate. The role that live music plays in fostering connections and healing the soul in troubled times is undeniable and to imagine a world without it, if only for a short while, is devastating.

This is why we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we can still share our music with you, albeit virtually. Each week we will be sharing musical treasures drawn from our archive of performances, together with new contributions from our staff, students and alumni. We hope that many of you will join us on this new journey and perhaps make some new musical discoveries as well as encounter some old friends. You have our promise that we will not forget you.

We look forward to seeing you all again in September.

Please note: All dates and detail are subject to change where statutory bodies or Government advice or directives demand it.
