Jennie Henley appointed senior editor for ISME-Routledge
Jennie Henley, our Director of Programmes, has been appointed Senior Editor for the ISME-Routledge Book Series.
Developed to provide global perspectives on music education, the series offers a focused channel for ISME members and their colleagues to publish scholarly and practice-based work. It reflects areas in which the ISME membership engages, promising a cohesive body of work that aligns with the mission of the Society and is resonant of scholarship, practice and research undertaken in its name.
Since launching in 2017 the series is an essential element of ISME’s publications portfolio and has quickly established itself in the field of music education, research and practice. As Senior Editor, a high-profile three-year post complementing her role at the RNCM, Jennie will have overall editorial control as it progresses into a single Book Series.
She says: ‘I’m very excited to be working with ISME in this role. The ISME strategic plan lays out an agenda for addressing the challenges of inclusion, diversity and for decolonising music curricula over the next six years. This book series will be fundamental in this process and I am honoured to be taking on the Senior Editorship.’
