One LP

In 2010, photographer William Ellis created the One LP project in response to conversations with musicians about their relationship with the work of other artists encountered via recordings.

Initially established to explore the inspirational qualities of jazz, One LP consists of a portrait of an artist with their favourite recording, accompanied by a short interview explaining the meaning and value behind the choice. To date Will has photographed over 200 artists from a variety of creative industries, and in 2016 approached us to see if we wanted to collaborate on a specific RNCM gallery.

The response was an overwhelming ‘yes’ and while the project is ongoing, we wanted to say thanks to everyone who has taken part and to share the results so far…
