Tutor in Tuba

Brian studied the tuba at the Royal College of Music Junior Department with Patrick Harrild of the LSO. He then went on to study there full time with John Jenkins of the Philharmonia Orchestra. On completing his studies he was appointed Principal Tuba with the English Northern Philharmonia, now called the Orchestra of Opera North. He was a founder member of the orchestra in 1978 and still holds this post. The orchestra is based at the Grand Theatre in Leeds, performing mainly opera but also some 30 symphony concerts annually. He has also performed with most of the Symphony orchestras around the country.
