- Assist O&E Managers with large ensemble projects i.e. Symphony Orchestra/Opera/external projects, and lead on management of all Choral and Jazz activity at RNCM, including management of larger projects and side-by-side opportunities with professional ensembles, as well as fixing tutors/additional players for projects, working with OEMs on this across all projects at RNCM.
- Create stage plans for rehearsals/workshops/concerts using AutoCAD for all O&E activities.
- Oversee the sign-out process of all music for projects, working closely with the Ensembles Librarian.
- Create schedules, plan rehearsals/events on ASIMUT and keep online areas up-to-date.
- Update budgets and ensure tutors are paid for projects alongside OEMs.
- Day-to-day responsibility of running rehearsals alongside other members of the O&E team.
I have worked at the RNCM since January 2023 in my current role, and was previously a student at RNCM from 2016-2018, where I completed my MMus in Composition. I previously read Music at the University of Birmingham. After graduating from RNCM, as well as working on my compositions, I spent three years working in the education sector, where I predominantly worked to improve maths and english outcomes for primary-age children in need of extra support outside of school. In 2021, I moved to work for the Hallé Youth Ensembles programme, particularly with the Choral Youth Ensembles, before moving back to RNCM to work in the Orchestras & Ensembles team.
