Advice and support from the Student Wellbeing team could make all the difference to your life at college.

I offer advice and guidance on all aspects of wellbeing support that students may need during their course:

  • Specialist Support i.e. disability, mental health, learning difficulties
  • Queries about Disabled Students Allowance
  • Personal issues you wish to discuss in confidence
  • Financial support for performance related injury
  • Medical matters and accessing health services
  • Accommodation matters
  • General wellbeing issues

Please contact me via email for further information or to arrange to meet either onsite (I have a private office for confidential discussions located in Student Enquiries) or online (via Teams or Zoom).

I moved to Manchester in 2000 from a small town in Northern Ireland.

After completing a politics degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, I joined their library team as an intern for a year.

It was after this I started my career in disability support in Higher Education.  I joined Access Summit which conducted Disabled Students Allowance Needs Assessments.  For 7 years I moved around various roles in the centre, learning about the DSA process from many perspectives.

In 2012 I started at the University of Manchester as their Disability Adviser for Staff.  After supporting staff for 10 years I missed working with students and decided to make a change.  I temporarily joined the Institute for Contemporary Theatre and Northern Ballet School based in the Danchouse as their Learning Support Officer before starting at the RNCM in April 2023.

I’m super excited to be part of the Student Health & Wellbeing Hub, and looking forward to meeting students and staff.
