Her career marries artistic, academic and leadership strengths, with one foot firmly planted in academia and the other in the popular music industry.

Jenn is an External PhD candidate at Erasmus Univeristy, Rotterdam and a member of Rotterdam Popular Music Studies (RPMS) research group. Her PhD investigates the culture within higher popular music education degree programmes, management and teaching practises, impactors on student well-being and resilience building, with a gendered lens weighing intersections with gender inequalities.

With a background in theatre performance as an actor and vocalist graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she began her career as a session musician (Keys and Vocals) for The Hoosiers (Sony BMG, 2007). She toured across UK, Europe and USA, performing at festivals (Latitude, V-Festival, Chiswick House, T4 on The Beach), on TV (Popworld, T4, Top Of The Pops) and Radio (BBC Radio 2 Dermot O’Leary, Capital FM). She was an independnet record label Manager for (formerly) Beatroute Records at the age of 25.

Jenn is External Examiner for the ICMP London.
