Wigan Youth Orchestra is joined by specially invited students to take part in a side-by-side performance of Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture to open this event.  Grace Butcher (soloist for the Binge Saxophone Concerto) is a former Wigan Music Service student and first ever recipient of the ‘Spirit of Wigan Music Service’ award in July 2024.  She is currently in her first year of studies at the Royal College of Music in London. Brahms’ Symphony No 1 brings this concert to a close.
