Piano Fleet Campaign
You can be part of this exclusive chance to purchase a piano and create a unique legacy for yourself or a loved one.
Pianos are vital to the music ecology of the RNCM. They are used by students at all levels, from the youngest in our Junior School and RNCM Engage projects, to the most advanced postgraduates on the cusp of international careers. But they are incredibly expensive instruments that require huge investment to purchase and maintain.
With 132 pianos onsite, ranging from standard uprights to concert grands, the RNCM houses one of the biggest piano fleets in the UK. These are currently leased and serviced from Musiq Group Limited for a cost of £480,000 per annum but, with your help, we aim to purchase all 132 outright when our lease expires in 2025.
Purchase a piano to safeguard the RNCM’s valuable fleet of pianos and ensure we can deliver world-class training for our students into the future:
Platinum | £100,000
Steinway Model D or Bösendorfer 214VC Grand (Concert/Venue Piano)
Gold | £50,000
Steinway Model B (Teaching Piano)
Silver | £15,000
Yamaha C3 Studio Grand (Practice Piano)
Bronze | £5,000
Yamaha Upright (Practice Piano)
We will thank you for your gift in a range of ways from a dedication plaque, the chance to hear your piano performed in a private recital or recording, and an invitation to a special event to mark the purchase of the piano fleet.

An instrument is a pianist’s voice; without it we can make no sound. But unless we have access to pianos of the finest quality we will never be able to reach beyond the boundaries of our imagination. This campaign is a fantastic opportunity for the RNCM to fill the building with magnificent resident instruments, allowing many future generations of young pianists to find and perfect their individual voices’
