The Future is Green Video Series

As we reflect on climate change and the natural world, we’ve created a video series dedicated to sharing our sustainability journey with our audiences.

Each chapter takes an in-depth look at one of the initiatives we’re exploring and the impact it’s having on our environment.

We’re keen to spark discussion amongst our community, which is why we screen one of our videos before each Future is Green event and have designated members of staff and students (our Green Champions) available to chat on the day.

Browse our stories below and learn more about our pathway towards a greener tomorrow.

Chapter One: Our Artistic Programme

Manus Carey, Deputy Principal (Performance and Programmes), explains how RNCM students are exploring climate change through our public performance programme, highlighting some of the flagship projects taking place across the 2023-2024 season.

Chapter Two: Our Food and Drink

Jo Dooley, Head of Conference and Catering, unveils some of the behind-the-scenes initiatives we’re pursuing to make our food and drink offer more sustainable, from reusable cups to transforming our oil waste into bio diesel.

Chapter Three: Our Students’ Union

Jessie-May Wilson, undergraduate flautist and SU Community and Environment Officer, discusses why sustainability and transparency are important to our students and outlines some of the activities our Students’ Union is undertaking to support greener choices.
