An Introduction to Archiving

Monday 13 May 2024, 2.00pm

Online

Evidencing what has happened in the past has never been more important. Creating archives is one way to do this. Meet a real life archivist, our very own Archive and Museum Manager Heather, and find out all about it. Using the archives of the Royal Northern College of Music as an example, you will find answers to these questions: What is an archive? What does an archivist do? What value do archives have today? What processes are involved in creating an archive? This series of events is made possible with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as part of the RNCM’s project Throwing Open the Concert Doors.

This event is online-only and free to attend. Please register by signing up.

This event will end at approximately 4pm.
