Support

Studying abroad is a big step for many students but our dedicated International team is on hand at every stage of the journey.

This includes visa and immigration advice, English Language Support (both Pre-Sessional and In-Sessional English), a chaplain specifically for international students and an elected Student Diversity Representative to ensure your views are heard during your studies. We also host an International Induction before the start of term with special events and activities to help you settle in, and we have valuable links with the International Society of Manchester.

Additionally, student wellbeing staff can offer advice on matters such as:

  • How to arrange an appointment with a BAPAM Consultant (British Association for Performing Arts Medicine)
  • How to apply for funding through the BAPAM/Help Musicians Student Health Scheme (conditions apply)
  • Factsheets for musicians (BAPAM)
  • General wellbeing
