Privacy and Freedom of Information
The RNCM Is committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals with respect to the processing of their personal data in accordance with The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). The DPA was passed in order to implement the European Directive on data protection and applies to all personal data which are held either electronically or in a manual filing system. The Data Protection Act provides individuals with the right to see their personal data which is held by the College, subject to certain exemptions. If you would like a copy of your personal data please complete and send a Data Subject Access Request Form. There is a maximum charge for this service of £10.
Your privacy is important to us. We will only use any personal information you send us for the purposes for which you provide it, or where allowed by law. We will only hold your information for as long as necessary for these purposes and will not pass it to any other parties unless this is made clear to you.
All employees who have access to your personal data or are associated with the handling of that data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.
Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (2000) provides a general right of access to information held by public bodies, including colleges and universities, subject to certain exemptions; this is to promote openness and accountability. See our Freedom of Information Policy and further details here.
