Akiho Suzuki
Akiho’s AHRC-funded PhD project aims to develop and test an online intervention on effective practice and performance preparation for conservatoire piano students. Prior to her PhD, she completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) with Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and an MA in Psychology of Music at the University of Sheffield.
Akiho is passionate about exploring ways to support musicians through research, and her research interest includes performance psychology, musicians’ health and wellbeing, and intervention design. She recently started “Flourish” (https://musiciansflourish.org), a project which aims to make research findings from performance science more accessible to musicians.
